Please post your latest predator version - I went to the site and see no downloads available. I find that difficult to believe being such a new product (that is supposedly undergoing changes).

Cheers!

Mines a 8R6 Dated 2/22/05 10:01:27AM

I sent them an email Thursday about my idle not lowering below 736rpm, but I haven't heard back from them yet.

Wayne, I believe R6 is the latest version (I read that somewhere?) and how low do you want your idle? Isn't 750 good? How is the performance with the premium tune installed?

I dropped my idle to 540. I think it sounds great. Its nice and shallow and has real ***** when it gets stomped.

I origonaly intstalled the 91 octane tune and the difference was noticable with that alone.

Another cool thing, when I downloaded the the Steeda CAI tune from the predator site, the file also included the tune for the Charge Motion plates as well.

Anyway, I just installed the Steeda CAI tune and the car pulls like crazy above 3k. Its very nice.

I went back out and installed the 91 octane tune and still couldn't lower the idle, had it set to 540 this time! I had the 87 tune in before because of the gas prices.
Anyway, I did a little tweaking on the 91 tune and got it to run good on the reg 87 octane I have in the tank. Changed the Global Advance to -1 and changed my FUEL WOT to -1 also.

For now this works for me, YOUR RESULTS MAY/WILL VARY !!

Anyone notice the shifting being rough for the "performance" tune with auto trannys? I couldn't get used to it and went back to the 91 octane tune.

Also, do you think they took care of the laggy throttle issue? I noticed it big time on the "performance" tune, but not so much on the 91.

Mine does the same with the performance tune with the trans shifts. When taking it easy it seems to want to stay in the gears then snaps for the next gear change. I had raised the shift points by mph on that chart but I thought it was for wot. Now I am not sure. Also what is the global timing? I went under that and adjusted from 4k up 2%. Not sure if that was a good move as my dyno run was not the best. I have an auto.

So the 91 tune is the best bet? Can't the abrupt shifts be changed or eased up on the 93 octane tune? That is what the diablo is all about right .....tunability?...

I'm definately still happy w/ my predator, added exhaust and the Predator tuner and gained 5mph in the 1/4 mile...... I think it is worth the money over the SCT due to the tunablility.

I'm just waiting for the JLT/Diablo custom set before I take the plunge.

Is there a huge difference in shifts between the original untuned car, and then tuned to 91? Will it hurt the automatic transmission?

Im running the SCT 93 tune with the auto trans and the shifts are fast and harder over the stock tune. It seems perfect like this, when you drive it normal it shifts normal but when you open it up it shifts better (harder faster). Doesn't the Diablo work like this?
