I don't think you have to wait even 20 min. I did it for 10 min and it reset my computer. I would say the best thing to do is just to unplug the negitive terminal while installing the K&N and then put it back on afterwards, this will cause it to reset while you are working.

As long as we are on the subject...


does discconecting the negative battery terminal, and thus reseting the computer; also require you to re-flash the computer?

Ex. I had the 91 octane tune installed. disconnected the battery and then installed the K&N. Did I need to re-flash the computer?

That is a good question...I would imagine that you would not have to re-flash b/c if so what would be the point of keeping your stock tune. If that was true and you wanted to go back to your stock tune all you would have to do is disconnect the battery.

i think someone in a previous post asked that question, I believe the person said NO u dont think need to reflash it.....
