I think it's already been proven that the hydrocarbon trap isn't that big of an air restriction. It's main purpose is for emmisions.

My main concern is still that they are saying you don't need a tune. Can't figure out how they get away with it and nobody else can.

Compared to other K&N setups that I've seen on older models i'm not impressed with the looks on this new one. I think that C&L has the best looking kit.

Proven??? Where is your proof?? Have you done a dyno?? Probably not. Ive personally had a dyno done. With the H/C trap and w/out, it was a 7hp gain. Here is the dyno.[/b][/quote]

7 Horsepower with the K&N Air Charger?

Easy on the attitude hauss.... sorry that I haven't seen your dyno before...... especially considering that this was just your first post in here. Just my opinion before. Don't act like I kicked your dog or something.

Most people here are cool with each other and we talk back and forth and try to figure things out. No need to come in blazing with attitude.

Exclamation

Have mine on order.

Side note: Vendors that list the 63-2565 for less than MAP might loose your pricing agreement... unless you purchase through a third party..

I went to a local auto shop to talk to them about the K&N aircharger I told them about the 15 hp gain at 6000 rpm. The guy just kinda shook his head and said no its probably more like 7. I started telling him about how if you go to more hp through CAI you will need a SCT etc. He was like no you dont, and begins to tell me that he has been around stangs since he was 16 bla bla and never heard of that. I told him about this site and how there are MANY stang fans on it and how the new stang can lean out or run like crap without one.
Any ways thats my short lil story I thought I would share.

I find the more and more I talk to people that come out and say they are experts on something the more I find that they are just morons that dont know jack. Who cares if youve been working on cars since Henry Ford first built the model T, cars are different now then they were then and this new stang no one has seen before, it took everyone a while to get use to the fox body when that came out and the sn95s when they came out I know I have an SN95 and when they first came out no one knew anything about working on them, but they learned and did some great things with them, the point is, its a learning process this is something new and they dont know yet but they will, so people that say that your wrong you dont know anything, that they are an expert and theres no way thats possible they all can just shut up because anyone that is pompus enough to say they know everything obviously dont have a clue to begin with. I just put on my K&N and although I can not confirm the numbers since I do not have a dyno in my garage at home, I can say I am impressed in the noticable difference. I like it, but I also havent driven a car with another companies product.

That's just freakin' funny. I rarely laugh at what people have to say in here but that is just funny right there.

We need more of that crap.

I asked if it needed a flash, or tune. He said not needed. HOWEVER, a flash will increase the HP numbers, as will a tune.

Here is a pic of the kit.
Can someone tell me the difference between a flash and a tune?

Does this void the warranty?

Do the other CAI's void the Warranty?
