Jessica,
I've had the same system in my car for about a week (got mine from K&N too) and I thought I noticed it running rougher when low on gas...guess im not the only crazy one

the entire set up.... I got it early last week.......
I work for another company in the industry and am using my car as our demo. It came in a brown box with a white label...not the normal colorful packaging.

They did... they kept his car for two weeks... gave it back without the Kit.. then they took mine, had it for two days, (about three weeks ago now) and it came back with the kit. Told me when they dropped it off, that rrobello was getting the first "packaged" product, first one they ship out. Turns out they sent it to a few people first...

not a big deal...you guys can still be first if you want i've been working with k&n (other project vehicles we have) since they were still in the develpoment stages of this intake.
Anyways, do you notice a "gargling" sound when you give it some gas at low speeds?

I dont notice the gargling, but I am glad I am not the only one who noticed the change from low gas to full tank. Its almost loosey goosey on a full tank, and almost sluggish on a low tank.

I would like to know what the before and after A/F ratio was. And also, why are they doing the dyno in 3rd gear?

When did they use your car rrobbello? Because they had mine for a week I think in early december...maybe it was early january. I haven't received mine but I haven't bugged Dino (K&N rep) about it either. He even gave me the stock dyno pull they did (or at least one of the pulls).

15.62 HP to the rear wheels, with no tune, and without voiding the factory warranty sounds good to me.

I am on the phone with K&N right now, lets see, they dyno in third gear because thats just their practice to dyno in either in 2nd or 3rd, no other reason. He didnt know about the A/F ratio, this is designed to be a strict bolt on thats why they dont tune it and they dont work with other companies so they didnt bother with a tune, so that the average person can use their system without having to do anything extra. The 15.62 HP gain is to the rear wheel, I personally think that is pretty good for a simple bolt on and this is not a true Cold Air Intake thats why they do not call it that. I was the first car they used and was suppose to get the first system but somehow Rabbitt did. I dont know about anyone else. What do you mean Rabbitt about them using your car for ads or whatever you posted?

I think it's already been proven that the hydrocarbon trap isn't that big of an air restriction. It's main purpose is for emmisions.
My main concern is still that they are saying you don't need a tune. Can't figure out how they get away with it and nobody else can.
Compared to other K&N setups that I've seen on older models i'm not impressed with the looks on this new one. I think that C&L has the best looking kit.

Proven??? Where is your proof?? Have you done a dyno?? Probably not. Ive personally had a dyno done. With the H/C trap and w/out, it was a 7hp gain. Here is the dyno.
