My goal was to run a sub 13.5 and I got pretty close. My best time was 13.55 at 104.35 MPH with a 2.11 60 ft time.

I tried just about everything but couldn't get decent traction. Most of my 60 ft times were 2.1 - 2.2. This will definitely be the last time I run on those 19 inch wheels and tires. Time to get serious and order some drag radials

My first few passes were laughable. I tried to launch at 3k and would just sit and spin. I cut a nice 2.7 60ft time and a 14.8 I kept cutting the launch RPM back where I finally felt that at about 1500 I could get some grip with feathering the clutch. My best 60 of the night was 2.07 which would have probably given me the time I was looking for but of course I miss 3rd gear and coast to 15 second pass :bang:

I didn't experience any wheel hop but then again I wasn't launching that hard either. So far the Steeda LCAs have solved the problem. Hopefully it stays that way once I add tires and go for harder launches.

There were 2 other 05s running at the same time. One guy with a 5 speed was running mostly 13.8-14.0 although he did have one 13.6. It looked like he had some pretty bad wheel hop. The other guy had an auto and was running low 14s.

Try Virginiamotorsportspk.com they have a nice track and some 1/4 mile runs on certain days. Or MIR in Maryland.
