You know George, you remind me of a guy I know. He has an old Dodge Demon that he runs at the track. His car has "I don't know, roughly 1200 HP." These are his words. He built the entire motor himself. He sometimes goes into details on parts, brackets, tensioners, etc. and how he had to make them to work with his motor. He has all the old race stories to go with it all. He's a very good driver and is very ingenius when it comes to motors, parts, and fabrication. I respect him more than anyone else in the mechanical world. He too makes me think of the old school, true drag racer. Hats off to you!

Hmmmm...258/263 is not as good as I would have expected with your Diablo and CAI.

What were the tuning conditions (temp & humidity)?

 

Did they set up and run the car properly for an auto? or did they just stick in drive or even worse "3" and let it fly?

You should be making more than what appears to be bone stock numbers.

That's your problem! That's NOT a 1:1 ratio.

Needs to run it graduallly up through the powerband in Drive with the overdrive OFF. They are completely forgetting that this is a 5 speed auto. In the previous auto's 3rd gear was the 1:1 ratio, now it's fourth.

If they do what I just said above you'll see your numbers go up into the high 260's-low 270's.

Auto's are running constantly around 250-255 SAE bone stock when setup on the dyno correctly.

 

I hope you get a free dyno out of this. Push for a tune too.
