I need some help .. Been running a perf tunes for years (Bama and Tillman).. A few weeks ago I went 2 turn on my car and it was dead. I hadn't touched the car for almost 2 months due to the winters here in upstate NY. Needless to say I gave it a boost and let it run for a while. Next day I had to give it a boost again. Since then no problems but on Friday I wetnt o get an inspection and its not passing... The guys at the shop told me to put like 150 miles on the car and I did. Went back and still nothing. Took it to ford and they say the battery is fine. Could it be the tune? Should I have reloaded the tune since the car sat with a discharged battery for god knows how long? I'm really stressing here cause it expires in like 5 days and I dont know what it could be. Sorry for the long post but any ideas or suggestion are welcomed. Thanks

 

Hey Raf, its Jeff. I would reload the car back to stock, then reload the aftermarket tune. Only takes a few minutes and couldn't hurt. Never know. With a dead battery, it does take a while of driving for it to "relearn" the systems in the car. After 150 miles, you should have been fine. Try to reload it and see what happens.

Oh, BTW, I'll be up at Butler Ford again in April. Hope you bring your ride down this year. Can't wait to see it.

 

hey whats up bro??? Yeah I reloaded the tune and my girls at the shop now. I hope this works otherwise I'm gonna have to reload the stock tune first (didnt do that this time) and then the bama tune and then drive all over the place again. Hey I've been meaning to ask you, what size are your rims again and are those the chrome ones?? Let me know.. hey just got a text.. we are good!!!! inspection is all done

 

Thank God!!! Inspection is all good.. guess I just had to relaod the tune.
