This is insane!!!! it is louder than anything i could have dreamed of but im thinknig a little too loud as im gonig to be pulled over every 5 minutes!!

To say these thigs are loud is an understatement. it only seems a hair lower than open headers. granted i only ran with open headers for about a minute but it is on par with it. YES i have the trumpeting cessna plane noise. im deciding if i am going to live with it, put the stock mufflers back on while i wait for borlas or something, or remove the H pipe completely and put the stock cats back.

Oh yea, the O/R pipe w/ SLPs would be LOUD. I though the O/R H with stock mufflers was loud.

You will love the Borlas with the O/R H! Check out my thread...I uploaded sound clips on post 38 and 44.

I think the only thing louder would be O/R X w/ SLP's - emperorjordan had a video of that, right?

Just listened to both your vids and they sound very simalar to my exhaust, /stock with SLP loudmouths. So is the main reason to go with OR H pipes for the power you get by eliminating the catts? How much power do you gain?

Or try Corsa too. Great looks, great sounds, and no drone. And, no trumpeting with the offroad H! If I could, I would post clips but I'm unable right now.

I feel that I have gained significant power up high with the O/R h-pipe. I bought it for the sound, but the power just made that much better!

its sick, isnt it? but it is a little too loud. I love it, but I think the cops wont appreciate it. So for now, I put the stock cats back on. If there werent the trumpets, I think i could control it and get away with it. So, I am waiting for Dougs cams to come out..... as soon as they do, the O/R H is going back on along with the cams, and we will see what happens.

So why not the OR H and a decent muffler like stock or borlas...that would equate to more power and and killer sound,JMO

o/r h and stock mufflers have a very metallic sound.... to me it sounds like an old mustang..... but it makes the motor sound "small". the SLPs make it grumble like a bigger pushrod v8.

I think the off road pipe and Stingers or some other glasspack type muffler are the way to go for a street car. I love the straight pipe sound, but I am just scared of the cops.

I am either going to get some high flow cats, or weld/clamp in some SLP loudmouth II resonators, and keep my SLP axel back.
