Ok this is important, I am supercharging my car with the Whipple H/O kit and my friends keed telling me that I am stupid to spend that much money because I am going to crack my block with that much horsepower. Its going to make a little under 450rwhp. Is this true or am I safe to drive it?

well if you're already installing the kit, then its a little too late to worry about it now.
Seriously though, at that power level its all in the tune! Are you using the Whipple tune or a custom tune?

Tom's absolutely right. If you stay with a conservative tune, you will have no issues. When you get a custom tune, to pull the max horsepower out, you're going to jeopardize the longevity of your engine and transmission life.

I think the consensus is once you are around 450ish to the ground, that's the grey area. I'd plan on having some money (and time!) set aside just incase you break something in the motor.
I'm only having an 8psi pulley put on which should put me comfortably below 450, but I still have funding available just incase I break a rod or something. Be prepared, these motors weren't designed specifically to be supercharged like cobra motors are.
Someone posted pictures of the rods. First picture is the stock rods, second picture shows cobra rods:
