I need a 3V Spark Plug Gapping Tool QUICK

Does anybody know where I can get one of these quick! (or similar)

http://www.pmpparts.com/index.php?ma...products_id=34

Does somebody have one I can borrow that could ship it out ASAP? I will pay for shipping and return it to you as soon as I'm done.
I'm in Florida. Send me a PM... Or better yet, if you can, call me at 407-414-4806...

I don't mind buying one - I just would love to have it shipped out today or Monday so I can have it to use by Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

Help!

Thanks!

If you are in a pinch, you can use a deep socket (9/16" i think), a vice, and something between the vice jaw and plug strap (like a round screwdriver shaft) to squeeze it down to the proper gap.

This is what everyone did before the tools specific for this type of plug were released.

Not a bad idea!

How hard is it to gap them?

I'm guessing they come pre-gapped to .045" - so if I need to take them to .028", do I just put in the feeler gauges and tighten the set screw down until the feeler gauges have some drag?

You didn't mention that you wanted a bargain, only that you wanted it QUICK.

I'm hoping to get the car tuned next Saturday and I want to make sure I have the better spark plugs installed (and gapped correctly).

How are you going to gap them at all? Have you taken a good look at how the electrode is made?

They are gappable..... and you should use the correct tool to ensure accuracy.

Ford doesn't have a tool to gap them, they come from the factory pre-gapped to Ford's specs and that is all they need.
