Mine ran just about flush with the fenders. I will advise buying some burnout guard! Spray it on the rear quarter and fender. Makes wiping the rubber off very easy. I've forgotten it before and let me tell you that it's a PITA getting the rubber off the body!

I just use hot soapy water and it comes right off with one of those sponges that has the white mesh stuff on one side.
