I got the JBA longtubes, motor mounts or not?
Hey all those with JBA longtubes. Do I need the Steeda motor mounts or not? Also, did you just turn off the o2 sensors in the rear? I am going with the H pipe off road, no cats. I have a SCT 2. Thanks for any help.
I would highly recomend the Steeda Motor mount's. The header's will fit without them but the Steeda mount's help eliminate rattling when the motor torque's up. Without the mount's it will rub up against the steering rod when you accelerate.
As an added plus they help get a little more torque to the ground, it was a good mod.
You will want the mounts. If you don't you will hear the headers hitting the inner aspect of the frame rail under hard cornering under partial to wide open throttle.
Yes you should turn off your rear O2 sensors, you can have your tuner send you a tune with them turned off or have them e-mail you an .xtr file that you can download to the tuner yourself and replace part of your original tune if you download the extreme tune software.

Thank you twice! Good info to hear, I just placed my order today. I also went with the Steeda engine mounts from what you two (dhof303 and VegasJay) had said in earlier posts. Hopefully will have them installed soon, I'll let everyone know how they turn out.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
