I am about to order a C&L CAI
I am about to order a street C&L CAI and tune, any last minute reasons why I should get a different one such as JLT, Steeda, or the race version?
P.S. Does anyone know the cost of a polished C&L tube + where to get one?

Independent dyno testing showed the C&L and JLT CAI's to be virtually identical, and the JLT is a lot less money, so I went for the better value and bought the JLT II CAI for my 07 GT. Works better than I expected!

I have the C&L street/Predator combo and couldn't be happier.
Mostly because that's all I know, it's all I've tried.
Whichever way you go, you definitely want a tuner.
Mine was very handy when I got around to having the 4.10's installed.

One of our very own sponsors here, Modular Depot just released a CAI that IMO kicks butt. It's available polished and the build quality is much better than the C&L I sold to get it. Ken is also running a pricing special on the first 20 sold, and I believe there are a few left at the discounted rate.

I have to second GTBob on this. The ProFab CAi is a quality piece and I am extremely happy with Ken's tuning.
You need to do your own research but I believe you will see for yourself that there's a new player in the CAI arena...

The main difference between the C&L and the JLT II is going to be price. You will get very similar performance from either one, so unless you want the look of the C&L, go with the cheaper JLT II.

A racer is not out of the question, no. It just will not provide any additional gains over a street intake. The racer really shines if you are running a power adder (nitrous, super/turbocharger).

I've got a BBK and a breenspeed 93 oct tune and I love it. Quality is great and it knocked a full half second off my 1/4 time. I don't think it matter's which cai you go with, most of the power comes from the tune. If you don't believe me call breenspeed or bamachips and they'll tell you the same thing. Just pick the cai you like best and it'll work great with the right tune.
