How much to heavier rims affect acceleration?

I, by all means, am no expert on the weight or unsprung weight subject. I was just searching to inform myself as to exactly what it was. What I really got out of the article is that unsprung weight is everything from the suspension and below. Sprung weight is everything above. I believe that the lighter the car, the faster it'll go. I don't know if there are any true formula's that'll help figure anything out. What I do know is that I really want lighter wheels and skinnies in the front. I don't care what they look like b/c they will only be on for the track. If I happen to find a nice set of race wheels able to handle daily driving, I'll get them.
