How to make 400hp N/A

Hey guys,I wanted to know if these mods would make 400hp at the crank:C&L Racer & SCT X-Calibrator 2 with Brenspeed 93 Octane Tune, GMS Coil On Plugs, Motoblue UDP's, BBK Throttle Body, Hooker Super Competition LT Headers, FRPP 4:10 Gears, Stage 3 Comp Cams, and Steeda CMD Plates.

What about building up the bottom end, going with forged pistons with a higher CR perhaps if the plan is to stay NA?

He's talking about hp at the crank which makes no sense since there is no accurate way to measure it short of pulling the engine out. Let's just talk about RWHP. Maybe 350? You will be close with that list of mods.

I think you will be very close. I would skip the coil on plugs and throttle body. They will give you little to nothing. Maybe get an electric water pump instead.

You caould also use Methanol/Water injection on an normally aspirated engine for a little more power...

1.2005sonicgt, No supercharger cuz i want 2 keep my warranty.
2.Jimp, I'm getting the The TB and Coil on Plugs cuz they equal 20-25 horses together. (Coil-on plugs=12hp TB=8-12hp)

Theoretically some of the mods will eff you on your warranty if you tried to make a claim anyway. The only thing motorwise that would probally still be covered would be the lower rotating assembly and block. Unless one of the mods caused them to go boom, and your screwed anyway.

Which mods I listed are warranty destroyers? I am guessing only the Cams.

Starting with 260 rwhp (300 hp at the crank)

A good CAI kit, +20 hp
The FAST intake manifold, +40 hp
Stage 1 or Stage 2 camshafts, +20 hp

That puts you around 340 rwhp, or roughly 400 hp at the crank.

well,in most cases, it takes more than that to make 400hp

In most cases,it might take more than those ,cuz it took all these mods to make 400hp on Brenspeed:Pulleys, Delete Plates, Kooks Long Tubes, Catted X-Pipe, Mac Axleback, 3.73 gears, Brenspeed Tune,C&L Racer intake,Stage 3 Comp Cams,BBK Throttle Body.

The FAST intake manifold should incorporate the CMCV delete. The longer and larger diameter runners should also boost torque output!

I'm not sure if the stock TB is really a restriction on the 4.6 3V V8. Axle-backs haven't really shown much gains in power either. The Stage 3 and Stage 4 Comp Cams look too aggressive (powerband is shifted too high). I'd probably go with the Stage 1 or Stage 2 3V cams.

Good luck getting 20hp from those two mods. From what I've seen, the TB gives you nothing and can cause problems. I would love to see your back to back dynos if they do give you hp.
