I've about 12,000 miles on mine, with lots of donuts and smokey burnouts. They've been rotated once and are about half spent. Terrible tires for rain, I can hardly keep up with highway traffic without aquaplaning through corners. I'm only one proper burnout away from replacing them :banana2:
I like them in the rain. Have had them up to 130 with no problems.

17,000 on mine . . . still plenty left . . . spin 'em up daily. All-round, to me, they're just an ok tire.

For me, they hang in the wet better than some but nothing like my last set of Michelin HydroEdges.

Awesome Video there Don.

Got a question for you folks already on 17's.

Just got my 17x9 Black Bullett's for my V-6 Coupe. Question is, I have a new set of 235/55R/99H, that are back-ups for my T-Bird. Are they alright for the Stang. Or should I use a better size. I could just sell these and get what is right, I just don't want to wait, if these will do.

Idea's anyone??? I know this is a GT forum, but I'd rather have Fact than just Theory in the V-6 forum. (I'm an ex-GT owner, what can I say!)

I am impressed with the Pirelli tires. I hear a lot of people complain about them, but that's unfounded. People need to realize that they are A/S tires, which are designed as a comprimise. The Pirelli's are great in the wet and liveable in the snow. They do give up some grip in the dry. I plan on adding new wider max performance tires next year when the Pirellis wear out. I have 18.5K miles on them and they have plenty of tread left.

1) Turn off TCS
2) Hold down the break
3) Slam the gas
4) Lift off break when ready to go

I've did it once when I was driving through a wealthy Palm Beach neihborhood and a bunch of Mexican gardeners came out and started cheering

I'm happy that Ford is putting BF GOODRICH on the 06. I replaced my Pirellis at 1000 miles because they did not grip well at all.

16,000 miles of hard driving with stock Pirellis and plan on changing up before I hit 20k. Definitely have lost a lot of grip and need an excuse to get those FR500 Cobra rims :worship:
