Help with Steeda UCA & mount?

Which hole is the correct mounting hole for the upper control arm in the mount?
Is it the one pictured or the other one?

Yes, install the rearward holes as pictured. Didn't you get the instruction sheet from Steeda?

Yes I did but I cant get the pinion angle set in this hole. I'm Plus 4deg instead of -3.

The instructions say the "front" hole. To me that meant towards the front of the mount. That is where I installed mine. Made the link 10.2 inches long and the pinion angle was only off by 1 1/2 deg. A turn or two and the pinion angle was at -3deg. The instructions said that the stock link is 8.5 inches long. For that length of link the rear hole would be about right. 10.2 inches long would make the front mounting hole about right.
Maybe a call to Steeda is in order?

Yep I'm planning on calling them now. "front" hole is really subjective....if you look at their directions the picture shows it in the hole pictured above...
I know I'm going to have to pull it whole unit back out to change that, and it just ****es me off.

ok Steeda say use the hole towards the front of the car. NOT the one pictured in there instructions. So I'm off to uninstall and reinstall.

Hopefully this thread saves someone else from doing the same thing....because putting this in is a PITA.

Great, I should go check my pinion now. I had mine installed at a reputable shop while I was withhout a garage and assumed they would have noticed this.

Robert;
While I would check it; it's probably not as big an issue if you havent swapped out your driveshaft yet. If it was that far off I bet you would have noticed a vibration. I can tell you with an aftermarket driveshaft that would never fly.
Goo luck that is no fun....I just finished reinstalling mine along with the new spyershaft. Gonna do the loop after lunch.

Right, I have the stock driveshaft due to class rules. I didn't think of that....one vs two piece may be why the two mounting holes? I don't have any vibrations, but I'm going to check it anyways. I just may get more rear traction? Sure hope I don't need to reinstall as it is a PITA to do without a lift.

Thanks! This was a great tread.

Tell me about it....I've been on crawling around on my stone garage floor for two days now...thank god for cardboard.

I'm willing to bet if it is wrong you will probably get more traction. But I would check your pinion angle first.
