I went with the Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel and a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. There is no chatter whatsoever with this setup. Centerforce had some issues early on with people not being able to powershift so they revised the setup. The revised setup has 9 counterweights instead of the 18 on the early production units. If you end up buying this setup make sure it's a revised one before installing it.

My first clutch was a RAM HD clutch with the stock flywheel. At the time, RAM didn't have a alum. flywheel. Back then, I wish they did. Real on/off feel to it. It only lasted 3 months though, given an avg. of 4 passes a night, 2-3 nights a week at the track. I then went to a Centerforce alum. flywheel/Centerforce DFX clutch. Nice clutch as Thump described. Some issues, that may have been ironed out...I'm not sure though. I believe the Fidanza flywheel is a bit less money! A lot have been going to the Spec setup. I'm not sure on the feedback though. If you plan on going to the track, I'd search quite a bit for threads as I'm sure there are quite a few.

McLeod Clutch and Alum Flywheel. Very light pedal pressure and as anyone in the know will tell you...McLeod products are very high quality and will take lots of abuse...JUST FYI: I can also tell you they are about to release a street twin clutch that will bolt to ANY stock flywheel!..it is a new patented design for them and will handle 900HP on the street...pretty cool stuff for guys who have good flywheels but want a beefier clutch.

Wow... I'm suprised that people are replacing cluches already. I had an old fox body Stang that had nearly 80,000(hard) miles and still had the original cluch, pressure plate, and throwout bearings. What are you guys doing to need new cluches so soon?

The stock clutch is pretty lousy. Mine was done after 8k miles and a good deal of track abuse. I went with the centerforce dual friction. Not sure if I have the revised version or not. I got it about a year ago.

It's a quest for speed! Taking them to the track on a regular basis will eat em up pretty good. My stock clutch lasted about 3 months after owning the car.

Nothing was wrong with mine. Just figured I would replace it and reduce some of the rotating mass along with the lightened driveshaft
