Sounds like a great product. I hope you guys can overcome the computer controlled throttle and torque management system. Otherwise, it will require a custom tune for every after market combination. ( Like my Saleen S/C )

I really hope you guys can work this out, it would be a great product.....

The way the car shifts for the 1/4 is fine, i just change my shift points to whats needed. I dont think any aftermarket shifter is gonna change the way the car shifts when you do it yourself. I am interested in a shifter that i can autocross with. you would want to shift manually, but with our shifters when you press in the button, for example your in 3rd and want to go to 2nd, its easy for it to slide into 1st. i want something to make that a little harder to do.

Hey now... I got the auto because I wanted to. For bracket racing it is much preferred.

Sorry, guys... I forgot about you hardcore racers. And I'm not knocking the auto one bit... I wouldn't trade this auto for a stick for anything. It's by far the best automatic transmission I have ever driven... especially with a good tune. But whether you have a stick, or are manually shifting the auto, it's still more fun to have your right hand working with the car.

Buil it. I promise it will sell. There are plenty of people out there who want halvsies between an auto and a manual.

Sending this TTT... not really to get more info from Chris at B&M, but to mainly keep the topic hot and get more feedback from everyone regarding the auto shifter. And Chris, make sure to share any new info you get as it comes... maybe even some spy photos of design ideas, drawings, etc.

Any objection to us 6er's asking for one as well?? There should be minimal, if any difference.

I think that's a great idea... but let us GT guys get ours first.

Yes, if this works with the sixxer as well I will buy one the SECOND they come out. I have been all over the internet trying to find a replacement shifter, mainly for looks. I hate the clunky-looking stock shifter. I just happened to trip over this thread, and all I can say is BRING IT ON!!!! My preference is for a t-handle with a button in the end for overdrive.

Shouldn't be a problem for the 6ers, but i think they are going to need a V6 so they can work with to make sure. I believe they have a GT with them.

The V6ers wont have a problem with this, the shifters and the transmission are the same per model.

I'm one of them. I sit in alot of traffic, but occasionally will get an open stretch of road and would love to run through the gears.

I also own a 6er and would be interested to get in on this as well if possible.

Hi All, as many of you know I work for B&M racing and we are looking at building a shifter for the auto cars. I was hoping to guage some interest on this particular product offering to see how many of you would want something like this. We have a car scheduled to come in next week to begin development on one and wanted to get your thoughts?

thanks

Chris

Definitely put me down for one! I was planning on calling Monday to talk to someone about this anyway. This is one aftermarket piece that needs to happen!
