I'd love to have one of these modified to read "281" instead of "289"

or

M1Rifle... is the 2005 Mustang GT motor 281 cubic inches?

Put some 40th anniversary emblems on it from last years car. They look sweet and actually it still is the 40th aniversary year, so you can get away with it

It's been a 281 since '96.

Yes, it's pretty bad, but I used Microsoft Paint. No Photoshop.

I know this is an old thread, but has anyone ever mentioned how the holes are arranged (top and bottom, or side to side) and how far apart they are? It would be useful in determining whether some other badge will cover them or not. A pic would be nice, also.

It's around somewhere... I think. I'll see if I can find it.

My thoughts exactly... The horse with tricolor bars may cover the holes if we can just get the exact location of the existing holes without removing the emblems...

Thanks Jason, Mark, and Kevin for the GT badge info. I am replacing my GT badges with some retro looking GT badges. David from TNT Mustangs in Maryland is a Scott Drake retailer. He is selling me two reproduction Scott Drake 1968 Mustang GT badges. The badges have studs which he is removing, and he is installing 3M tape. I think this badge will be a nice retro touch and a classy look. The link to his website is below along with a picture of the GT Badge. The badge measures 4" across and 1 1/2" in height
