Naaa... I'm not interested. In fact, my current C&L CAI will be "surplus" in a couple weeks anyway.
Yes Greg...I've not only checked out the website, but I also spoke to anderson, himself...what I meant was, if there were any other members, who might be able to either provide any feedback and opinions..guess I'm looking for advice, as to whether or not, this kit would be a good choice to go with.. SORRY...I POSTED THIS REPLY ON THE WRONG PAGE... :bang:

Anybody else see where they quoted that 70% of the 200,000 mustangs hitting the raod are GT's? Now I'm not saying they're full of
but accoridng to all the allocation charts posted on this site, I thought GT's onl y comprised 45% of the mix????
Doug094, can you weigh in on the C&L Racer intake?

It would seem that the actual gains from the CAI's is the difference between the 'tuned' baseline run with the stock CAI installed and the HCF removed, and the 'tuned' runs with the aftermarket CAI's installed and the HCF removed.
I made a similar post a few months ago and was met with quite a lot of resentment...
A good "Canned" tune typically adds about 10hp to the car with just the carbon trap removed. However, even comparing this number does not give you a true picture of what is going on.
Almost all of the CAI's come with a tune that was custom made to take advantage of that particular intake system. In order to get a true picture, you would have to do a custom dyno tune with just the carbon trap removed with the stock intake. ( most of the canned tunes assume that the carbon trap is still in the car and are tuned for 91 otcane )
I have seen a few custom dyno tunes for 93 octane in the 15-20hp range with just the carbon trap removed.
So based on the numbers I have seen, the CAI it self is only adding about 5-10hp...
