I too just installed the borla axle back (though I ordered the cat back kit since the axle back will take 2 months to get here and the cat back kit comes with 2.5" pipes which are identical to factory go figure) and I can tell ya that the thing sounds oh so sweet!! The drone, yeh, it's there but I think I'll take some posters' advice and install gears next to get past the rpm-drone-range faster! Man once you hit third and let her rip that sound is just, well, heaven on earth is all that comes to mind. And when decelerating by downshifting, the backfire rumble WOOO!! I need to go drive her. right. now.

Yeah the whole range of sounds is wicked....
Peoples heads turn even before you get to them...they know something is sneaking up on them.

The drone is not bad bad....it could be flowmasters bad...but its not.
and you get used to it, and it kinda settles after a while.

As for borla cracking...
What is the part number..I thought Saleens used a 'dump' style muffler which would not be what the catback/axleback kit is.

Yeah thats the catback or axleback (s-type mufflers or stingers)

What are the ones saleen uses?
Do they use those?
As I remember them having a dump style muffler with 2 exits and a pressure plate that would open when a certain flow of air was achieved.

I've had borla on 2 cars now, and never had ANY cracking what so ever.
I've had the mounts replaced because of (probably) weather damage...
(ice+salt) and they tore....this was over a 2 year period.
