Anyone else here waiting to see what happens with gas prices before they go ahead and get a performance tune in their car? I finally got enough extra $$ together to order one and now gas prices are $3.27 for 93 by me and who knows how much higher they will go. !@#$!!!!!

Just got the C&L w/ XCAL2. Couldn't wait so I installed it during lunch the other day with the 87 tune. Had a full tank of 87 and I ran WOT everywhere I went so I could suck that gas out and fill up with 93!!!!

I figure if/when I get the CAI and tune I'll go on the 93 juice. I don't drive much, so I can justify spending an extra $3.00 a tank for premium.

Don't you get better gas mileage after you tune your car? Well, it might work if the temptation of slamming your right foot to the floor wasn't so great ;-).

yes, with the intake and tuner, I think your milage gets noticeably better. but you driving habits get worse, so it evens out.

I agree, it is hard not to get on it....even for no reason. And God forbid you get tempted.

At $3.27 a gallon, you pay an extra $3.20 every full tank of 16 gallons over $3.07 87 octane fuel, so it's really not that much more.
