gap hto plugs

gap hto plugs

how do you gap the hto plugs without a gapping tool?i would think you could put it in a vise and take a punch or chisel and hit it in the center til you get the gap right.but that may not be a good idea so thats why im asking.

That's what some people have done, with success. Just gotta be mindful though, too much mustard and you'll break off the tip. I bought a tool, another member here (dly) used mine as a copy and made his own tool.

Just an FYI if you get the tool ... After you set the gap you need to release the pressure before you check the gap , it will open back up a little ...
