Fuel Injector Cleaner
Per the owners manual, fuel additives of any kind are not necessary, and may actually do more harm than good. A good quality fuel is all that is required. Gasoline these days is so much cleaner and better quality than it was 20 years ago, injector problems are basically a thing of the past on newer cars.
I was at the ford dealership yesterday getting some warranty work done on my 06 for an airbag dummy light and a gasolinr issue. Basically, what was happening was sulfer was building up on my fuel injectors and causing the gauge and message center to read that I had very little fuel left or none at all. He put in a cleaner and it seems to work now. I would only put in the cleaner if this starts happening to your stang.
Anything you pour into the tank won't do a whole lot. It gets dilluted by all the gas and then it has to pass through the fuel filter. And like the other poster said, it's not much of an issue any more. Years down the road if you ever have the motor apart you can send the injectors out to cleaned. Most shops that do on car cleaning (without removing the injectors) have a cleaning fluid they pipe right into the fuel rail that also acts as a temporary fuel.
