After reading the manual, it gives a part number but not a location or a time for changing. Anybody know where it is and how often it needs to be changed?

I believe its along the driveside rocker panel, there is a plastic splash/undercarriage protector that covers the fuel line just behind the front wheelwell. I believe the filter is under that.

The fuel filters on these newer cars will last for years. Some may say for the life of the car. They are large and have loads of capacity to hold dirt. We had a 87 Cougar XR7 we bought new and had 213,000 in 2003 when we sold it. Replaced the fuel filter one time because I thought it was a good idea not for any problem. Unless you are pumping gas out of a 55 gal drum on a farm it will probably never be an issue. Just my opinion.
