NO, it would not..Running a higher octane fuel, has very little to do, with preventing your air/fuel mixture, from running lean.. Although higher octane fuels, burn slower than lower octane fuels, it still wouldn't be quite enough, to prevent it..It's actually, the air intake volume, that leans it out..There are only 3 ways, to correct this..Either with a smaller MAF intake housing, that's the same size, as stock or a cold air kit, that includes, a re-calibrated MAF sensor, which is able to compensate, by allowing the computer to add more fuel..The perfect example of this, would be the Granatelli CAI kit, which includes the recalibrated MAF sensor, that's tuned for his larger intake tube..And finally, the last option is with a flash tuner.. Which btw, a tuner is capable of producing close to 20 HP. more than stock and not 10 HP. It's actually, the cold air intake by itself, which is usually capable of only producing 10 HP...Of course, depending on the tube size, is always a factor..But other than that..I can't think of any other way, of getting around this issue..Anyway, hope you'll find some of this, as helpful..
