Hi ! Just got a 5 speed V6 2005 Convertible Mustang.
Installed the GT twin muffler system + a MAC air Filter and just don't feel to spend another $350 dollar to flash the chip.
I'm not sure how this work but can someone who has a predator or a X-Cal be able to Flash my chip ? Like renting the service instead of buying it ?
Is their something I don't get here ?,...........John-F / Montreal.

SCT and Diablo tunes both lock themselves to the car they are used on. They do this to prevent exactly what you're asking to do, unfortunatly. Reflashing the car to stock should "release" the tuner and allow it to be used on another car, but only one at a time. You could always try the trick disconnecting the battery and letting the computer readjust itself that way. Not as effective, but better than nothing.

Tks a lot guys, I get it now, might as well buy an SCT or a Diablo however, what do you think of the "Sniper" I've got a lap top and it seems to be more versatile (and $50 cheaper ?) for the fact that you can get preset tunings off the net, such as a tune for a V6 with Twin Mufler and MAC Air Filter mod like I did. In other words,... what's best ?

I think you will get a lot of different opinoins on this question. A lot of people like the SCT or Diablo. In my opinion more dyno places use SCT, so if you wanted to get your car dyno tuned, the dealer could put their custom tunes on your programmer. Diablo is probably more versatile in that you can download updated tune files to it (should be a future feature of SCT XCal2). The Sniper tuner caught my eye, but a tuner is only as good as the tunes available for it. With the Sniper being so new, Im not sure how many people have tested it and written tunes for it. Just some food for thought.
