Fitment issues with Powerhouse turbo kit...

The kit is on and there's not really any to report. Even with the AOD, the kit fits perfectly. The only issue was if you have an aftermarket radiator (like I do) like the fluidyne or LPW, the stock fan won't work.

Going to the junkyard tomorrow to pick up a Taurus fan for about $39.00 and problem solved - so it's not a big deal.

The ONLY thing I'm not 100% satisfied with is the intake. Not that the PH kit is any diffferent than any of the other turbo kits out there - they all place the intake in about the same spot all the s/c kits do and it just doesn't make sense to me. Seems it will be grabbing mostly hot air all the time so I slightly altered the PH kit to place the intake all the way down in the fenderwell and now it should be sucking nice cold air all the time.

100% satisfied with the kit and of course the exceptional service from Mike and the gang at Powerhouse. The only issue now is if the 67mm is going to do the job for me and we will find that out soon enough. Either way, Mike is ready to ship me a 76mm ball bearing to replace if need be but we're all hoping to prove that bigger isn't neccesarrily always better...

Big install thread coming up when mod fords is back up.

Oh I know, Dave...lol

It's just I'm not ready for the 10 pt yet. I plan on dialing in 10.00's and making a 'boo-boo' on my last runs as long as I can get away with it. I'm going to run the car in the 10 index classes through next year and then I'll step up, full cage it, and put in a monster turbo...

We have a running joke now at the shop how long my roush kit body panels and 'bling' is going to stay intact at 140 mph passes....lol

On a side note, David, I never got my turbo blanket and they actually refunded my money because they have no idea when they are going to come off of backorder. I relly liked the one you suggested - do you know anywhere else to get it?

Thanks,

Mark

Not sure Mark. I spent an hour or so browsing for blankets. There aren't too many out there and of the ones, I found, that was the best quality and price.
