Finally got dynoed, hit the number

With all the alternator issues I had my car couldn't be tuned. I started with a Bamachips tune and the A/F was all over the place. So I had it custom tuned and the car wouldn't respond to any of the programming. Then I had my car fixed and I went back yesterday to get it checked out on the dyno. On my first pull was the Bamachips race tune, hit 304 HP/309TQ with an A/F curve that was straight as an arrow around 13.5. Then I ran the custom tune file Pete at Performance Dyno made for me. Hit almost the same number at 302 HP/310 TQ with an A/F at 13. Not bad

My hats off to Doug at Bamachips for making a tune file this good, it's just as good as my custom tune. I can't believe it.

Pete made me a second tune file which has 2 Step launch enabled on it. I can't wait to play with that thing at the track.

That's why I have been saying that with mild mods it is worthless to get a custom tune. I'll save the couple hundred bucks that a custom tune costs (or whatever the amount is) towards more mods.

I wouldn't say it's totally worthless.
Seeing your realtime A/F ratios is just piece of mind.
Also remember different climates/cars/variables will make different cars respond differently to the same tunes.

If you live nowhere near a dyno or you do not have access to a competent tuner, a mail order tune is better than nothing.

I can also make the a/f better if you want, just let me know and I'll add %5 of fuel and you'll be set. Either way you did great!

thanks, Doug.
