FFRP handling pack - have you made any changes
Guys
Had the handling pack fitted for 12 months now, great performance but a bit hard on my butt.
Thinking about softening it down a bit - have any of you made any further changes, key question for me is change the dampers or change the springs or both?
So far Steeda ultralites have been the main recomendation of people I have spoken to, so if any of you have fitted them with an FRPP handling kit I would be very interested
thanks

You dont need to change the springs in the handling pack but rather the strust/dampers to d-specs. Tokico d-specs are adjustable, where the FRPP multimatic strust/dampers are not adjustable and I think geared a bit more towards the track. Tire size/wheel size will also make a difference, if your running 20" wheels with 30 or 35 series tire that will contribute to a rougher ride.

Those that are running the frpp handling pack....is the reason you change out the shocks/struts because it is to harsh of a ride for everyday? I'm wondering how they perform for the track and or aggressive cornering? Would you stick with them if your car was only a weekend car?

Yes they are a bit harsh for a DD IMO, I'm not bothered by it but it's certainly not for everyone and I wouldnt mind an improved ride. I cant tell you how well they would perform on the track or how much better the car handles than stock as it already had the handling pack when I bought it(used). The handling pack is sway bars(front/back) struts/dampers and springs. At some point I'll change to d-specs.
Thanks guys for the response so far
My basic conudrum is still the same, is it the spring or dampers
Has any one fitted them sequentially, i.e. springs first and still be harsh and then gone d specs
thanks

While the springs are great for 90% of the roads I drive, I would imagine that the Multimatics would be too much for a daily driver and add additional NVH that I don't want.
stock strusts/dampers wont work as well with the lowering springs and will give you a harsher ride from what I have read on the subject. This would be true for any lowering spring not just the FRPP's
It's the dampners. That's why a couple people already said that everything is great with the kit except the dampners which aren't tuned right so they make daily driving harsher than it has to be.
