I just put Steeda Ultralites on my car about a week ago and am putting on Tokico D-Specs next week. The car sits a lot lower (wasn't my intent) but i kinda like it, fills out the wheel well a bit better but i have serious hop/bump stop hitting issues over speed bumps, and a bit of hop/bounce too; kinda hoping that Tockico's will fix that. Am i correct?

Since i'm doing this work, i'm also considering getting the J&M LCAs and relocation brackets...what will this do for me? and will the car sit any lower due to either my shock/strut upgrade and LCAs and relocation bracket? (don't want it to, i think it's perfect now)

With the Steeda Ultalites installed you are probably hitting the end of the travel on the OEM shocks and struts, or you are slamming down on the rear bump stops... see my previous post with pic of my bump stop.

I would think the D-Specs will solve your problem. You may have to cut the bump stop off anyway.

no need to cut the bump stops with the ultra lights. if you dobt it chalk those babies up and go for a ride. Then check for chalk transfer

MooStang, you essentially have no bumpstop left. Aren't you concerned about bottoming your shocks and smashing up the internals?

I can't believe that the 1/2" drop on the fronts, 3/4" on the back would cause the car to bottom out in any instance. I beat up on mine for a bit on purpose for the first couple weeks to settle them for alignment and there has never been a bottoming out issue. I hit 7 speed bumps every time I go out of the neighborhood so I've probably hit them 5000 times without a problem.

I would think if you figured out a way to bottom out the car with cut down bump stops(full trunk and a jump maybe??) you might just snap the panhard bar in two.

It may be the strut tower caps giving up the ghost making the noise you think is bottoming out.

Any more info on this? im installing this setup tomorrow
