I'll agree that straight line speed can easily be done more cost effective in a GT. get a 150 shot and let it rip. Even a built engine + big boost is less than a GT500

but... getting back to building a GT into a GT500...
how many horse can the stock tranny pull? I'm under the impression that 500 is about as high as you'd want to go. And at that point a new drive shaft will come in handy too. Plus if you're into hot laps around a road course a brake upgrade would be convenient after the third or fouth lap.

and back to the price issue (yet again)... with 15,000 - 20,000 units built over two years it's not really all that collectable. I know the gotta-have-one-first crowd will pay a premium, I expect to see the first 3 or 4 thousand to go in mid 50's, the rest of the 07's will go in the low 50's, high 40's, and the '08's getting a bit over mrsp. I wouldn't be willing to place money on my predicitions, though!

Lastly power... anyone think it will have more power than the GT supercar?
