No problem with mine so far except when the battery got real low. I think it went off but I was at work and the car was home in the garage. Is your battery fully charged or have you been letting it sit for a while?

I have the Active alarm system in mine and it went off one night and I had no idea until the next day. I got in my car and saw that my gps had fallen(suction cup came loose) and the motion sensor detected this and set the alarm off.

I was going to post basically the same thing, except that it was my radar detector that fell down. If your alarm went off for apparently no reason, maybe something moved inside your car. The internal motion sensor is very sensitive. One day I ran into a store real quick and left my wife sitting in the car... by instict I hit the lock button, arming the car. Then I heard the alarm going off when I was inside. My wife said all she did was turn her head and it went off. Seems like even a large fly that may have been in your car could have set the thing off.

Mine has went off once, ... I was pumping gas, and when I went in to pay, guess I popped the trunk by accident. I heard a car horn going off, but didnt realize it was mine till I walked back out!!
Didn't know what the deal was, but when I got in and cranked it, I noticed the "door ajar" symbol lit up, and realized then what had happened.
I felt like a retard!

I went to unlock mine with the remote and hit the panic button by accident. Turns out I was holding the remote upside down.

Lynell, when you pop the trunk, that should have automatically disarmed the alarm. I could be wrong about yours, but on my GT when the alarm is armed and I pop the trunk with the key fob, it opens without a problem. The doors are still locked, but the alarm is off.

I know, when I pop my trunk it is fine, too, but I wondered if it was also a timing thing. I mean I was in the store for maybe 5 minutes or more. The trunk was open, but just popped open, not wide open. I mean, walking to the car, I never noticed the trunk at all!
It may be just a security type thing --- just to let you know it was open and not OPENED all the way as though I was loading or unloading something.
Kinda like when you leave your lights on, you know?
Or when my kid is in the seat and it beeps for seatbelt, but also has the "airbag off" light on.
I just marked it up to my car being smart!
