This question is driving me insane. I have about 1600 miles now on my 05 GT. It appears to me that the nice loud sound of the GT has quitened down. Is this possible? Would it have done this bacause the car is now broken in? Or is this just my imagination.

I thought it started to quite down as well. But I have a feeling that I'm just getting used to it. Still quite loud when cold outside.

I know I've gotten used to it. Most often I only notice it when I first start the car. Everyone else tells me they can hear me coming two blocks away!

Same here. Its quite loud under load but quiet on idle and crusing.

Whenever I give her a rev to let people listen to the exhaust, it sounds like there's an aftermarket setup bolted on. I think being winter, its cold and you have the windows closed, heat on, fan, radio (sometimes) and the sound gets drowned out.

Drop the windows and shut everything else off, then take a listen.

Supposed to stop raining here for Saturday....I am going to try it with the windows down. The exhaust is one of the best sounding stock I've ever heard. Did I say I love the car??

Same thing happened to me. So I put the flowmasters back on, but now I want my 2 horsepower back, so I think I'll take them off again (LOL)

Might be fun to cut them open, seal the baffles and weld them back together (with an update dyno), OHHHHHH, how I can figure out ways to waste money when I have too much time on my hands!
