Hmm, I backed up my Rhino ramps when I installed my axle back exhaust. I didn't have any problems with them moving, but I spun my tires to get up them. Rear wheel drive on plastic... Bad combo for traction.
Yeah, I drove my wifes FWD car right up the ramps with no problem.

If you want steel ramps they used to sell extension kits for them at pepboys... I haven't seen them in a while but I google’d “car ramp extensions†and came up with several companies that make extensions for the steel car ramps. Just ensure that you are buying a universal kit, as I noticed some of the extensions were proprietary. Here are a couple of links:

one more vote for rhinos.

as far as the lowered car debate goes, i can't speak for mustangs, but my Focus drags its front fascia when i put it on the ramps. the car is lowered 2.0" in the front and also has the SVT front bumper on it. The rubber chin spoiler gets caught up and tucked under when i drive up the rampes, but it's rubber and it pops right back out np.

one last word of advice when getting on ramps: if you don't make it all the way up the 1st time, back all the way off and try again! esp true for those who drive stick. my GF was putting her accord on my ramps so i could do an oil change. she made it about halfway up, stopped, let her foot off the brake to try again, rolled backwards, started to freak out, and hit the gas. the car spun the ramps underneath it and wedged them right underneath the darn car! i had to jack it up to get them out.

Solution for ramp slippage: a damp towel under each ramp

It may be a bit easier than getting a shingle
