drive line roar

been getting a driveline "roar" from the rear end/shaft when letting off the gas in 5th and 4th at high speeds...only happens when off the gas rpms coming down (coasting) ...the higher the speed the worse it is... any thoughts?

I was thinking: diff/trak lock not unlocking?? clutchpacks worn out?? ....fluid level is good...car has 25k on it. nothing strange otherwize happening...no funny noises or vibes on accel or cornering.

Can't hurt to get under the car and take a look at the diveshaft to pinion bolts, pinion seal, etc.. to see if anything is loose or is leaking.

Almost sounds like the lash on the pinion bearing is too loose. Did you put new gears in it after you bought it?
