was getting ready to download everything for my sct tuner when i noticed the part number for my x3 was for an sf3. whats up with that?

 

Mine is the same way. It's pretty much the same device. I believe the SF3's are marketed more towards fuel economy tuning. It's not the tuner that matters though, it's the tune it puts on your car.

Its because SCT are idiots and decided to make things a mess by renaming the "X3" to "SF3" instead of just making the newest model a X4 or something.

You will also noticed they made it even more of a mess by calling them enhanced and non enhanced, yet they will have the enhanced software where only the non enhanced should be. Only a programmer with too much brain snd zero common sense could make such a mess. Truly stupid.

 

exactly. i would have gotten diablosport predator but none of the speed shops around me use them. everyone uses sct

 

Well once you have everything in place it really works well. I love my X3/SF3/ enhanced, errr non enhanced tuner.

 

i got my custom tune downloaded on it finally. i got a guy coming to get it and put my cams in it since i am down with knee surgey. i got a friend that has a sf3 he got from steeda for his focus and his part number is the same as mine and mine has x3 on it, lmao
