Ryan got burned and others have been burned too. I got lucky and got a refund from him, but he me out of $27 on the shipping. At least I got the bulk of my payment back.

Just so you know he was selling crappy Rotorpro rotors. I think he was offering good deals on the Tokico struts and shocks. If anyone has ordered anything from him, CANCEL IT AND GET A REFUND OR STOP PAYMENT!

I'll try and make this as short as possible,
He came on as new SV on another forum.
Offered a great deal on a brake kit.
Posted pictures of some very nice rotors.
He told me he had the rotors in stock (1st lie) and so I bought a set. He had me pay $45.00 for shipping and told me that he would include the receipt within the package (2nd lie) and if it was any less, that he would refund it to me (3rd lie).2 weeks went by and then he posted pictures of the rotors for shipment to everyone and they were coated in black phosphate. Not the shiny silver zinc plating that I had ordered. I emailed and posted immediately that I did not want those rotors. He mysteriously fell out of contact for a couple days, which is unusual because he was constantly posting and pm-ing before that. He finally said he got my messages that I did not want the rotors but he had already sent them out (4th lie).
I finally received the rotors after 3 weeks. The packing was soo poor and thrashed that I could see the rotors through the tears in the boxes. His invoice was dated AFTER he told me it was too late to cancel because he had already shipped them. The rotors were poor quality and the front ones had surface rust in the air cooling channels already. I did not get a receipt for the shipping either.
So, I packaged them up NICELY that day and sent them back UPS. It only cost me $24.00 and they arrived back to him in 2 days!!!
I wanted my refund and he kept giving me stupid excuses as to why it was taking so long. Stuff like, it takes a while for me to transfer money to refund you because I have a merchant account. He was trying to convince me that he was a victim and that the refund had to come out of his pocket etc...
He disappeared from everywhere, lost his vendor status, his pm box was full, wouldn't answer emails or anything.
I then posted a thread asking where he was. I stated a couple facts but I diddn't bash the guy or anything. I also opened a dispute with paypal. He finally felt some peer pressure, contacted me, and then sent me a personal check. Well, today his check bounced. I escalated my paypal dispute to a claim which was worthless. I sent him one more email requesting a resolution. It won't work and I will probably have to file a claim in small claims court and file a complaint with the BBB.
This is only my story. There is at least 3 other people in the same boat as me. He has finally been banned completely from the other site. I just wanted you guys know that this snake is out there. SCM stands for So Cal Mustangs. His name is Allan and he is a crook!

 

That sucks Ryan and Rich- thanks for bringing your info to this forum. There are alot of guys here that hangout pretty much exlusively here, so there is no doubt that you've just saved alot of people ALOT of problems.

 

He also talks crap about other vendors, good vendors, trying to make himself look better.

makes you wonder why someone from that forum who purchased stuff didnt just drive down to his shop and beat the **** out of him.

 

'Cause from what I've heard, he doesn't have a shop- operates out of his apartment or something!

 

On another forum I'm a moderator (www.honda-tech.com) there used to be a guy in Texas who touted to have expanded the capabilities of a supercharger for the Acura Integra. His shop/business was called Endyn and he claimed he had several bays with dyno's and had this giant machine shop to do the work in.

In the end, it was all hype... He lives in an apartment and what work he does do, he contracts out to other shops for head jobs and that supercharger..... never existed. He ripped off quite a few people before people got wise....

If you get me an address, I'll drive by there one weekend and see this "apartment shop"... hahah

 

I read about this guy on Modular Fords which is a good thing as I was planning on getting my rotorpro rotors from him. After reading that I purchased them directly from Rotorpros and got a better deal than alan was offering anyways.

 

You guys can't cry about the issue over and over I do admit the set of rotors were crappy, and well now I have replacements which you guys don't want. Every business screws up once in a while, but this conflict is just with the rotors. Ask all my other customers about other parts... I'm a crook and a snake and a theif? All the name calling makes me want to be become one. You guys could of been on the positive side, and everything would of turned out smoothly, and I'd even be here to hear you guys cry and nag, but I'm certainly not going to get screamed at for freaken 20$ that I made from each deal.

By the way, SCM doesnt stand for "socal mustangs" ...
