Does the heat shielf matter that much?

Alot of people say get a JLT intake, and then others say C&L. But JLT doesnt have a heat shield, is it not that important? Does the JLT show more power gains since it has one?

Consider the fact that none of them fully block the heat and then decide.
While sitting still engine bay heat gets by ALL of them.
When moving the "sheild" simply catches more outside air.
