The best I could mange was 13.9 @ 102 . It was 90 out and the humidity was 86%, but I think it's these 18 inchers that slow me down. I must say however, I am not very impressed with these nittos.

I guess I need more power! What can I spend my money on next....

get the 60' down to 2.0 and you'll drop at least 2 tenths on the big end. Traction is key, but on a 90° night, thats going to hinder the cars performance some as well.

Ditto - 5 speed right? How well did you hook??....
Plenty of people seem to have problems hooking with the sticks - I don;t think its the tires - I am running Nitto 555s and ran on a hotter day than that - I have an auto and they hooked up great.

Chris,

What track did you run at? I'm right down the road from you and would really like to try my luck at the drag strip. If you plan on going up again soon, let me know. Then you might fell better when I stink the place up. I've got 4.10's and Fuzion 255's and do not plan on hooking up well!

No problem man, next time I head out there I'll send you a PM. I go to Capitol Raceway in Crofton, about 15min from Columbia off of 32 East.

You shouldn't worry about that time. That is horrible weather for racing. When the air density is that high you will run terrible. Go back when it cools down a bit and the humidity and pressure goes down. I'll bet you could get a 13.6 or better.

Cool. I used to go there often to spectate back when I was your age - 18 years ago! We would climb through the hole in the fence so as to not drain down the beer funds.

I have not taken mine to the track yet. My brother-in-law wants me to go against him in his 2002 Duramax Diesel. I just saw his time slip from Friday night. I don't think I can beat him at all cause he is averaging 12.8 seconds. I'll be lucky to get 13.5 to 13.9.

Ha, I raced a turbo diesel in the 1/8. Wasn't pretty. He had my by at least 1 1/2 truck lengths. Chris was there, not sure if he saw it though.

But fun, we all had a good laugh.
