Difference between X-Cal2 VS X-Cal2 SF

Does anybody know the difference between the x-cal 2 (9400) and the x-cal2 sf(9415)? is there any difference in tune loading between the two tuners. i have the xcal sf (9415) and received my tunes yesterday. have issues loading tunes in tuner via live load. live load goes thru the cycle and then gives me the "file download failed" message. i followed the instructions, went to sct website and downloaded the latest live load and drivers but no joy loading. is there anybody out there who's been thru this before and can help me resolve the issue. i really want the tunes in the car!!!

I'm pretty sure the only difference is that the SF model comes with a tune. The 9400 doesn't include a tune...
I thought I remember reading on the SCT site that you can turn the 9410 into a 9400 by down loading a tune to it. you might want to do a search on their website. This question has come up on their website.

I got the SF (Strategy Flash) from Tillman and I asked about it...it's no different; they just use it for some of the other cars that they tune. They just erase what's on it and put their own custom tunes on...and it's acts just like an XCal.

i also found out from SCT that as soon as you do live load 3 to load you custom tune in it, it erases everything and it then becomes a 9400. i still dont have an answer as to why im having problems loading the tunes in it

Have you spoken to your tuner? I cant remember for sure of the errors but it seeems to me someone on another board recently had the same kinda trouble due to an error with the unit's S/N and the emailed tune.

i got to speak to Doug today around 3 and the issue is solved. after i told him that i have an sf then the light came on and he said to reformat the tuner. so if you have an x-cal sf (9415) the tuner needs to be reformatted "erase Device" via live load. that will convert it to a 9400 and the tunes will upload with no issues. i'm a happy guy, happier after i loaded and test drove with the 93 torque tune. whoaaaaaaaa!!!thanks for everybody who chimed in with advice
