Anyone with 4.10 & 4.30 gears get in here!!

Are there any down sides? Do yall regret going so low? I am debating between 4.10's and 4.30's. I DD my car and it is a manual and yall can see the specs in my sig. What do yall think? Is gas mileage really effected? If so what is everyone seeing? Right now with all my mods I am getting 300 miles to a tank. What about yall? I have searched and only get bits and pieces to the puzzle. 4.10 people do yall wish yall would have went lower?

Before I put the blower on, I had 4.10s and occasionally wished I had went with 4.30s. Now with the blower, I wish they were 3.90s. Eitherway, the 4.10s are great and highly recommended.

Either will be a great gain with little downside. Mileage will suffer a little, but not much. The overdrive helps to keep revs under control when cruising. By far one of the best seat of the pants mods you can make.

Taller tires help... on the street, I am running the 325/45-17 M&H drags radials. They are 28" dia x 10.3" tread width. They work awesome.

Add a good cold air intake and a tune first so you will enjoy the power of the 410 I did.

guys what I am really looking for is people who have put 4.10's on there car and wished they had went lower. Also want the oppinons of people with 4.30's and a dd and see what they think of there low gears. I want seat of the pants feel but want good drive ability on the road and decent gas mileage. I only drive like 15 miles round trip to work and only go on the interstate once a month if that. So what I want to know is if the 4.30's will work for my needs/wants. I am not planning on any poweradder. This is my last performance mod for a few years. I just want to have money well spent. I don't want to get the 4.10's and wish I went with 4.30's. But then again 4.30's maybe to low. So I don't know what I want/need.

For your case it doesn't matter much. You're talking a less than 5% difference in ratio between gears. The only place you'll EVER see that is a few hundreths of a second at the track. There is no right answer. If you never drive on the interstate then go as deep as you want. Again, no real discernable difference between the two.

i agree with rob. i have 4.30's and with the stock tires it's okay while normal driving but there wasn't much difference e.t. between the 3.73's i had and the 4.30's. maybe a tenth and i actually gained some mph by getting it in high gear quicker but for a DD i'd have to say 3.90's or 4.10's. i don't drive mine everyday and race a lot so i thought about going with 4.56's or 4.88's but with my 26" tall m/t's i figured it would trip the lights at around 6800 with the 56's and 7200 with the 88's...just a little too much for stock valvesprings. i think i go through at 6200-6500 with the 4.30's and hiway cruising is 2600rpms at 70 mph with 4.30's vs. 2600rpms at 80mph with the 3.73's with stock pirellis.
