I thought this was and interesting idea for a CAI. Even though this is supercharged, someone should build this for a N/A 05 GT.

Any manufacturers out there listening?

that's ugly as cuss, man.. but if it could have been done over the center, or some sort of set up like the Ram-Air on the F-body Trans Ams, I'd be all over it. The idea is right..., the look is horrible.

I think "horrible" is a bit dramatic, don't you? It's not perfect, but there is nothing wrong with it.

Good idea, but I'd be a little worried about water getting into the supercharger and/or engine.

I'll say just one word, "RICE." Let the flamthrowers come out in force! Looks like something from Need for Speed.

I actually appluad the owner for doing something different. It may not be to everybody's tastes but obviously didnt stop em.

You folks should flame me some while your at it with this guy for adding the gauges to my hood.

I like the scoop, its positioned well enough for the setup he has. If it was an N/A setup it would be nice to see such a scoop in more of a NASA duct style and closer to the front. I thought about that for a long time myself but with my gauge pod on the same side I think it would be a bit much but who knows for sure.

Good idea gone bad during execution. The scoop could have been centered, and just used a wider "filter tray" under it to span between the scoop and the air intake.

Whatever happened to cowl induction? Isn't there supposed to be high pressure air where the hood and windshield meet? Seems like that should be a great place to put an air intake.

Off to the side like this one looks.....goofy.

I don't think its that bad really.....

And as for 'Rice'?

Yeah.... SVO did just this on the Mustang SVOs from 84 to 86...........

This set up was around before anyone even thought of using that term.......

Well like it or not I would have to say that he truly has a "ram air" setup.

Considering the fact that there is no room under the hood in supercharged form that is a good setup. Looks dont have to be in consideration for someone that wants functionality. That is the best way to get cool air to that supercharger becuase usually the filter is right above the headers getting lots of heat wash. Mind you that is what in intercooler is for but to get the intake temps even lower he went with a unique idea. I think that if there was a non functional unit on the other side it would look better. It almost reminds me of the intake ducts on an F16 Jet how their squared off.

It's not to my personal taste, but if it works, it works! I really like the sponge seal too, even though it might be done with a rubber seal as well. Nice work.

I'd like the RKS "California dream" ram air hood to mate up with the WMS ram air set up. <chuckle>

why cant he just add another identical one on the other side, but not have an intake under it? just have the other one vent air directly onto the heads to help cool or something...at least it would be symmetrical and look ALOT better while being functional?

That filter must get soaked if he drives it in the rain and if the car was left out in that snow that you can see in the background of the picture it would fall right in and also sit on the filter.
