It draws air through the grill. The dyno numbers aren't up yet on their website. 20+rwhp without a tune. I believe they'll be ready by July. I'll be ordering one and will post installation feedback and dyno numbers. It's different than the norm. I think the concept is great! Now all I need is a hood to feed air to this filter. By the time I have this CAI, I'll have my wideband and datalogging capabilities. What do you guys think?

Is the silver thing in the middle a new maf housing? Will you need to buy a new maf?

I likey likey!!! When they finish their ram air box it should be perfect. My Nissan Murano takes the intake air from just under the front of the hood above the radiator. This is an excellent design. Can't wait to see #s when someone tunes with this. Good find

Very interesting David. With the ram-air cover and BBK throttle body it just may make for a power adding combo. I'm already figuring out how I could force air into it from my hood scoop's in my RK Sport hood....should'nt be a problem... Can't wait for your review.

Looks pretty cool. Cant wait to hear some feed back from buyers. Also relocates the overflow bottle, and does seem to make the engine compartment a little more even. If it ends up being a quality product I like the look. That air filter seems like it would need some sort of bracket being right up front there. I cant tell or read in description that it has one. I guess only time will tell. good luck to all who try, please report back.

Also noticed at bottom area, that it says they are working on a ram air box to replace radiator cover, that will direct right too it. I missed that the first time. Man this thing is going to be awesome with the ram air box I bet. Cant wait to see a picture of that part.

I didn't realize they mentioned the RAM air box. I know they are working on it. That's a couple months away. I really like the way it looks. It does sort of equalize the engine room. There website is pretty forthcoming and informative. I haven't seen anyone else go into that much detail about the dynograph and all the different numbers. This CAI + larger throttle body =

Nice unit. I was ready to buy the K&N & Predator, but may wait.

If you talk to these people please ask about a group buy.

Thx

I would be interested in a group buy too, but would someone tell me if this would work with a Saleen S/C, and the BBK TB?

Finally... some method to the madness! Looks great, cleans up the bay, looks to be very functional, and cooler air to boot. With the addition of the ram air system, it should do wonders for the car.

Did anybody else pick up on this as well:

"We did test larger versions of our mass air as well (that are available to use with custom programming) and it showed no difference in vacuum - the stock throttle body is now the restriction."

With the larger mass air option, BBK TB and custom tune, numbers should be good!

There goes another $1,000!!!

Seeing as the Saleen Supercharger reuses the stock air intake tubing, I would guess that this would work just fine with the Saleen.

Interesting. I like what they have going here. With the shorter pipe, there is less area for engine heat to heat up the pipe and heat the air inside. Plus, with the Ram Air, more cooler air, especially at higher speed. The only con I could see is it's right over the radiator, and hot air rises, so not sure if that would be a factor. I'm sure a "heat shield" could always be used and should fix that problem.

well if they do make a ram air box instead of radiator cover. Then I would assume that would take care of most of the heat issues, being directed right to it. I am going to wait on this and the ford racing cold air intake, to see what its going to be.
