CHE Anti-Squat Brackets and LCAs
Yea the old day are long gone. After speaking with a Ford parts guy I deal with on a daily basis about this, He told me that many of the suspension bolts on most of the Fords are now torque to yield one time use bolts and also the nuts as well. I know most auto manufacture use one time torque to yield bolts for the cylinder heads and such but this whole TTY suspension bolt stuff is Whack. Also I think as long as you apply the proper torque to these bolts you can get more than the one time use they claim. But after seeing your problem who knows. I know I have not had any issues up to this point but since i am going to be tearing the rear end apart again soon I decided to buy new bolts and will install them.

FYI torque to yield fasteners appeared on Fords as early as 1980 and probably sooner. My 80 Escort that I special stage rallied (CRS) had torque to yield head bolts and most of the suspension fasteners were that way as well.
Check out this thread and notice what comes with the new parts.
