I can tell you from what I've read, TB spacers are pretty much worthless on these cars.

Great looking piece I have one question. Are you going to leave the rubber Elbow or is there plans of a change there.

I am also waiting on your final results to pull the triger on this....

Question Ken.
I'm putting together a parts list and your product looks to fit what I'm looking for. Do you see any need to use the Steeda throttle body spacer with your CAI or is it a waste? Or just go with the CMDP delete plates with one of your custom tunes. This is a daily driver (75/day) so I don't want to go too radical(for now). I've also read that tunes for the 08's are not ready yet, what is the difference between the 07's and 08's that make it so different?

Mike
Mike,

Skip the TB spacer. The hold up on 08's isn't the tunes themselves it's the programming. Should be ready to go soon.

After trying a few different things, the rubber elbow seems to be the best cost effective solution. I would prefer the whole piece right up to the TB to be fabricated but this would cause the kit's price to skyrocket as that would be a time consuming piece to add.

Here is the above intake with some polishing, the heat shield will be polished also. Click on pics for higher res.

Guys, as many have posted on this very site, spend the TB Spacer money on a CAI/Tune and not have to worry about a check engine light over the TB.

Thanks!

The changes from that pic will be:

-Better weld at the filter. Pipe was dirty (my fault) and weld didn't turn out the best. Won't be a problem in the future

-Polshed heat shield and a higher polish on the pipe itself

-Plastic or rubber edging on the heat shield

-Also need to add provision for the valve cover hose

Right now I'm getting all the materials I need in bulk and I'm going to make about 20 of them to start. These will be serialized like I said, and the first 20 will be at a nice introductory price. Final pricing will be announced in the next day or so.

Price including tuner or just the CAI? I'm also interested in your tune and what all you're doing for the auto trans. learning feature. Mine is a daily driver (everyday I can, rain, snow, or shine!!) and I'm interested in keeping it that way, but with a different tune for the occasional blast down Milan's 1/4 mi.!!

We will offer it alone and as a kit with a tuner. I will probably offer a deal on a mail order tune (if you already have a tuner) if you buy it when you buy the CAI.

It's definitely shaping up to be quite a nice unit. Polished looks to be the way to go! It will be great getting one of your units and having something that no one else has (unique). Can't wait to see final numbers with one of your custom tunes! I am anxiously waiting to see your complete kit price. Money is burning in a hole in my pocket, waiting to spend! Now about tunes for 08....how long?

Polished is always good but I would be interested in a painted look
(Torch Red of course) Ken is that something that would be possible for you to do...

Ken, is the elbow specifically designed for your CAI or can anyone buy an elbow like the carbon fiber one in this thread: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=73072

Just thought maybe that would be an option for those into that look.

No, I don't think that would fit.

Ok, here is the pricing. Pricing is only valid until the end of the year.

After that, prices are as follows:
