Well, Chirstmas was good to me this year, so the time has come for my long awaited CAI. I've settled in on the C&L Racer, SCT, and 87, 93"X", & 93"Y" tunes, but I can't decide who to get it from. It looks like it's been a while since anyone has commented on the Evolution Performance tunes.

Last time I checked here was the price comparos:

Doug at BamaChips: ~$675
Brent at BrenSpeed: ~$600
Fred at Evolution Performance: ~$575

People seem pretty pleased with all 3. So should I just go with the cheapest? Are there any concerns w/ any of these "big 3"? I haven't seen much about Evolution Performance, although, you gotta love thier price. Can anyone comment on the differences b/t Evol's regular and "exteme" tunes?

Doug seems to get the most kudos. BrenSpeed throws in cables and free shipping, etc......Torque vs. Race vs. Performance vs. Extreme...oh my!?!

I have Doug's 93 Torque tune with my C&L and love it. I dont think you can go wrong with either Doug or Brenspeeds setups.

 

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three. You will get many different opinions on this topic... sometimes heated ...lol. People will have an allegiance to their "tuner" if satisfied.

So here's my vote(drum roll...): BamaChips

Yea, that is the one that broke my will power. Hmm $30 discount parts a fool with his money.
Oh well I can't wait to get it and install the tunes.

 

Lightning Force Performance has them for $540. And they also offer custom tuning, i'm planning on getting the combo soon.

BamaChips for sure. I've heard Brenspeed is good too though. I haven't heard good things about Evo. The good thing about Bama is that he gives you free updates to the tune for most mods. He has always treated me good.

 

I have run both Doug's and Brent's tunes and I'll give the edge to Brenspeed.
