C&L Intake Manifold Coming Out- Winter 2008
I was testing this part on Wednesday night in Huntsville and we saw some nice gains on a n/a engine with only the intake manifold and C&L racer air intake. We did decide to do some further minor changes to it and do some more testing this coming week to ensure the best overall gains for these cars. I won't say the gains with the intake because we are doing more to make the best of them but I will say it is in the double digits.
And as far as the first, you may get the 3rd or 4th but #1 is on Lee's car and #2 is at Bamachips

#3 is spoken for ....we will be doing some testing with Doug at C&L
Guys, it's going to be worth the wait.....C&L is taking the time to make sure this is done right and the best possible product you can get. Along with the heads he is doing this is going to be some great parts for the 3V!!!

How much is it going to cost?
How involved is the install?
What kind of low, mid-range, and high end hp/tq gains do we expect on a 100% stock Mustang GT?
Will it delete the CMCV or work with the CMCV?
Will a tune be needed?
Why is a single-blade Throttle Body all of a sudden better than a twin-bore? I recall when people scrambled to convert their 4.6L 2V throttle bodies to the Bullitt/Terminator twin-bore setup.

Hey Doug, thanks for the good info!! One question? Does this unit sit any higher than the stock intake manifold? Can the MAG engine cover still fit over it, and/or does it fit under a strut tower brace? Thanks for the help in these questions.
Wow! I just read the 12/12 update on the C&L website. I gotta say this is really encouraging for those of us that want to stay closer to the stock side. I thought I was done doing any engine mods (all I have is the C&L Racer CAI) and I have no interest (or money) to go charged, don't want to go away from the stock exhaust, and don't want to go through the trouble of little things like underdrive pulleys or delete plates for multiple little gains. But saying they're getting "solid improvement" on a stock engine is great. If I can get 15 or more HP on top of what I got from the CAI, I'd say this is a definite purchase. If it's less, I'd have to think about it some more. But the fact that they say "solid" makes me think it has to be 10-15 hp or more. What do you think?
