I have the Borla Stingers and FRPP X-pipe and I have the decel burble

But I still have drone, even with the FRPP X-pipe, so this is probably not what you want to get to solve your drone problems.

The drone is easy to drive around with a manual though, so it doesn't really bother me.

Can someone describe what decel burble is? I don't know if I have it or not.

Here's my take on the setup that I have-

1. Love it and I doubt that I ever change it
2. JBA shorty headers
3. FRPP X pipe
4. Borla stingers
5. Minimal drone
6. You be the judge - alittle louder in person

Decel burble is kind of a loud rough/broken idle as the engine brakes down. Not sure what it sounds like on these cars.

While going about 40-50mph, let off the gas, and as the car starts to slow, drop into 3rd. You should start to hear it, although it's a lot more pronounced with better exhaust pipes. The stock setup made it sound like a vroom, but with the stingers (for instance) you get a nice burrrrrrbbbble...

I hear ya, I'd only try the x-pipe if it was the cure for the drone. I like the uneven sound with the h-pipe. I can usually shift around it in town it's just annoying on the highway when I'm stuck in traffic around 50-55 mph and I just feel like it's working the engine too hard to go down a gear for an extended period of time. Unfortunately I'm on the highway for 3/4 of my daily commute.

I'm thinking 3:73s or 4:10s would help.

I would not call the mild resonance I heard inside Rich's car annoying droan. I am picky and his exhaust was close to perfect inside and out.

Rich had 4.10s at one time but a bad install ruined them. He is back to 3.55s for now.

I ended up pulling the trigger on a set of Borla stingers yesterday when I found them for a price I couldn't resist. Should get them installed at Cali's place on the 27th! It's an exhaustapalooza!

Graypny: FRPP Stingers -> Borla Stingers
CaliHPAddict: Magnaflows -> Magnapacks (3" cat-back)
shatter: FRPP GTAs -> Borla Stingers

I got my Borla Stingers for $420 off ebay including shipping. The seller sold two pairs and I think that was all he had.

The guy has a sweet deal on a Vortech S-Trim supercharger for the S197 Mustang going right now. $3175 shipped for the polished version.
